On Friday, July 16, Atascosa County Crime Stoppers received a tip of someone selling prescription drugs at the Flea Market on Highway 97 between Jourdanton and Pleasanton.

An undercover deputy was sent to the flea market to investigate. The deputy purchased 60 doses of Lidocain pain medicine along with another prescription drug. Atascosa County Chief Deputy Sheriff David Soward said the prescription medicine confiscated during the investigation was valued at over a $1,000.

On Friday, July 23, investigators and deputies armed with arrest warrants arrested 55-year-old Jacinta D. Medina of Poteet. She was charged with two counts of delivery of a dangerous drug, a felony.

Medina was later charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug. Bond was set at $30,000 by Justice of the Peace Jackie Bodden.

Participating in the investigation were Chief Soward, Sgt. Inv. Wayne Stratton, Lt. Inv. Jake Guerra, Deputy Phillip Bosquez and Sgt. Inv. Norma Jordon.
